Happy Birthday, Macintosh!
Today, the Macintosh celebrates its 22nd birthday. While unable to collect social security, the Mac is in prime “selective service years” and can drink, download porn, drive, smoke and do almost anything else an adult can do.
As with last year, I’m staring at dual 30″ LCD displays, which are now attached to a Power Mac G5 Quad 2.5GHz with 16GB of DDR2 RAM, connected to a dozen or more peripherals, still running the best Unix-based OS on the market.
There’s not much this machine can’t do without that finesse that so exemplifies the Macintosh platform and its many possibilities.
Happy Birthday, Macintosh! Here’s to many, many more.
