All I can say is finally! After being a Vonage customer since December of 2002, I’ve waited for them to roll out free international calling to Europe. Other VoIP carriers have it, but up until this announcement, Vonage was still charging per-minute rates.

Now, I can finally keep in touch with friends, family and colleagues across the pond in Italy, France, Spain, the UK and Ireland without incurring any additional charge! The one reason I had to switch from Vonage has disappeared and I’m very pleased about that.

In other Vonage news, what braintrust marketing agency designed their new corporate branding? I suppose the brand is supposed to represent a person celebrating, with their hands high in the air, having just been freed from traditional Baby Bell bondage.

But in my eyes it looks like a boomerang about to peg someone in the head. Ouch! As the old adage goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Or something like that.
