Photo: Storm Clouds

We’ve had a large amount of rain and powerful thunderstorms on a daily basis for the last week or so. This storm — seen developing on a ridge near Pikes Peak — later trounced my neighborhood with moderate hail.
The image is a 6 frame HDR composite, taken with a Canon EOS 30D.
Isn’t all the rain a good thing, though? I know the hail sucks, but the front range has been so dry for so many summers, isn’t the generous soaking keeping the wildfires at bay?
Beautiful picture ! I like it very much.
