You can’t help but crack up laughing at this video… It really symbolizes the initial incarnations of the Airbus A350 perfectly. You also can’t blame Boeing Commercial Airplanes for jumping on this and distributing it to customers! [Heck, I’d do it!]

Of course, you’ll notice this video is a bit dated. The 787 is still referred to by its development name, the 7E7. In addition, this was produced long before the exterior appearance of the 787 was finalized. The radical design was dropped in favour of a slightly fatter, warmed-over 767 with newer engines, a composite fuselage, and a little too much gee whiz that will most likely fail over time in revenue operation.

That aside, it’s still clever. I wonder what Airbus will come up with when the 787 Snoozeliner’s first test flight overweight landing ends with the composite fuselage shattering like tempered glass?
