Pikes Peak and its surroundings got coated in snow for the first time this season, after an early winter storm rolled through last night. It’s a refreshing change to see the mountain look like this. As soon as the gloomy weather cleared, I grabbed my camera and ran out to go snap pictures.
In the foreground you can see one of the formations in our famous Garden of the Gods, called The Kissing Camels. There’s a close-up view in my Colorado photo gallery.
As for the forecast, we may have snow as early as Saturday. Yay!

I cannot believe you are jumping up and down for snow. Why I remember back in Jan and Feb, a certain someone complaining about the snow. Oh well guess we better get used to it.
