Pikes Peak and its surroundings got coated in snow for the first time this season, after an early winter storm rolled through last night. It’s a refreshing change to see the mountain look like this. As soon as the gloomy weather cleared, I grabbed my camera and ran out to go snap pictures.

The picture brings back so many fond memories. I thought it was fitting to share it with my audience today.
Five years ago, the world saw evil. Today, the nation began its observation of a solemn anniversary, with plans for silent reflection and fresh mourning for the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001.
